Reed Colver

I am the director of the  campus and community engagement programs for the Office for the Executive Director for the Arts, including Carolina Performing Arts, at UNC-CH. Previously, I worked with the Multicultural Arts Professional Development Program, in Melbourne, Australia, with Animating Democracy at Americans for the Arts, with Deaf West Theatre Company in Los Angeles, and have a background in dance, theatre. Originally from Durham, NC I lived in Australia for a number of years where I worked in International Education, and multicultural arts. As part of the Office of the Executive Director for the Arts, I work with students, staff and faculty to find new connections for the Arts on the UNC campus and the community, and I am particularly interested about the intersection of arts, dialogue and engagement. I am a graduate of Pomona College (B.A., Anthropology), and The School for International Training (M.A. Intercultural Service Leadership and Management).

I am the Campus and Community Engagement Coordinator for the Office of the Executive Director of the Arts. I closely with Reed Colver, Director of Campus and Community Engagement. The position entails a number of responsibilities, one of my favorites being authoring for this blog. My career aspirations include Arts Administration, and working for the Office of the Executive Director for the Arts has given me the opportunity to explore that interest. I will be graduating in May of 2010 and look forward to further pursuing the professional arts field.  I also enjoy art museums, writing, reading and desserts.
